Røsnæs er en 15 km lang halvø på Sjællands vestkyst ved Kalundborg. Fyret ligger på den vestligste pynt. Det 15 meter høje fyr blev etableret i 1844 og var oprindeligt 11 meter højt. Der er adgang til toppen af fyret, hvorfra der er en smuk udsigt.

Røsnæs er en 15 km lang halvø på Sjællands vestkyst ved Kalundborg. Fyret ligger på den vestligste pynt. Det 15 meter høje fyr blev etableret i 1844 og var oprindeligt 11 meter højt. Der er adgang til toppen af fyret, hvorfra der er en smuk udsigt til det nordligste Storebælt.
Fyrtårnet blev oprettet i 1844, hvor der opførtes et 11 m. højt tårn sammenbygget med fyrmesterboligen. Der anvendtes fast linseapparat, som i 1859 blev udskiftet, samtidig med at fyrtårnet blev forhøjet til 15 m. I 1895 blev linseapparatet endnu engang udskiftet. Det blev nu roterende og forsynet med 3-vægers brænder.
English: Røsnæs is a 15 km long peninsula on the west coast of Zealand near Kalundborg. The lighthouse is located on the westernmost point. The 15 meter high lighthouse was established in 1844 and was originally 11 meters high. There is access to the top of the lighthouse, from where there is a beautiful view of the northernmost Great Belt.
The lighthouse was erected in 1844, where an 11 m high tower was built together with the lighthouse keeper's residence. A fixed lens apparatus was used, which was replaced in 1859, at the same time as the lighthouse was raised to 15 m. In 1895, the lens apparatus was replaced once more. It was now rotating and fitted with a 3-wick burner.
