Tuesday morning September 9, 2011 the United States Came under attack when four Airliners were Hijacked and used as missiles. This timeline shows the time of impact on that tragic day. Two of these commercial airliners hit the World Trade Center Buildings in New York City, the third crashed into the Pentagon. The fourth had left a New Jersey airport bound for San Francisco when it suddenly changed direction over South Central Pennsylvania. The sudden change of direction tipped of some of the passengers that were told of the New York City assault. The passengers took the matter into their own hand and stopped the jet. It was not good for anyone on the plane. All passengers, crew and the hijackers perished in the crash.
The time line are four engraved black marble planks placed perpendicular to the lighter marble stones on the "Flight Path" walkway. The engraved stones include the time of day, location where impact occurred, airline, and flight number. The physical path ends the same location that the flight of United Airline Flight 93 ended. At the fourth and final marker ( N 40° 03.130, W 078° 54.294) one will find a large wooden gate which is only open to the public on the annual anniversary, 9/11, the remainder of the year to family members of those victims of Flight 93.
