Lakeside Shops has changed a bit since this ad ran in the mid 1950s... on north May Avenue in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

This undated ad (but, based on the cars, from the 1950s) is for a collection of stores then known as "Lakeside Shops" on May avenue just south of Grand Boulevard, which was
the "main drag" before the coming of the interstates and four-lane parkways. I do remember that TG&Y; my mother went there frequently. It was not unusual for a group of stores to post one collective advertisement like this one, back in the day. The stores have changed over the years, but this block long strip mall here is
still Lakeside Shops! But there were no vintage Corvettes in the parking lot today. This ad was found on
onlyinyourstate.com with no source given. They date the ad to "1930 - 1945" but based on the cars I would put it in the late forties or fifties.
