Sammen med 10 andre fly, deltog BLE R3913 i et angreb på Fliegerhorst Aalborg West den 13. august 1940. Alle 11 fly blev efterfølgende skudt ned af tyske jagerfly. BLE R3913 blev skudt ned over Tranum Klit plantage, hvor alle tre besætningsmedlemmer omkom.
En mindesten er rejst på stedet hvor flyet faldt ned.
Along with 10 other aircraft, BLE R3913 participated in an attack on Fliegerhorst Aalborg West on 13 August 1940. All 11 aircraft were subsequently shot down by German fighter jets. BLE R3913 was shot down over Tranum Klit plantation, killing all three airmen.
A memorial stone has been erected at the site where the plane crashed.
