In 1884, a group of Sisters of Mercy came to Oklahoma Territory and in 1904 this beautiful four-story school was built. It began as a boarding school for girls from 1905 until 1950, when it became co-educational. The school has an excellent reputation, and is a beautiful Gothic building to see. The school is located at 2801 S. Shartel, on a three-block property.

For generations, the fourth floor of this school has been rumored to be haunted by a very pleasant former nun at the school. She lives on the fourth floor of the school, which has been sealed off and is no longer in use. The websites below refer to this phenomena which doesn't appear to concern people, since after all, she's a nun.
