Mount Saint Mary's Catholic High School is located on a three-block property in southwest Oklahoma City. The school building is a 4-story brick Gothic-styled beauty.
In front of the school at the curbside on Shartel is a concrete pillar with the seal of the Oklahoma City Historical Preservation Commission. Beneath this is a bronze plaque telling the story of this historical treasure. It reads:

The Sisters of Mercy came to
Oklahoma territory in 1884 and
opened this Roman Catholic
convent in 1904. It served as a
boarding school for girls
from 1905 until 1950, when it
became co-educational.
