This area is open to the public and is heavily visited during the warmer months. The signs help to identify waterfowl, birds of prey, and other birds that call the bog home. Some species that I observed during my visit were, Red-Winged Black Birds, Canada Geese, Coots, and Grebes. Talking with a ranger he claims that Bald Eagles, both juvenile and mature, frequent the park and can be seen taking fish from the lake.
