At a glance, the Police Station in Carnegie looks a bit unusual. Why such a large garage door, and why is it not in use? The answer is revealed by the NGS Benchmark Disk at the front door - this building was once the Fire Department! The disk was set in 1934, so the building is at least that old. The current fire station is a newer building, with more and larger equipment bays, just across the street.
