This brand new mural in downtown Edmond welcomes visitors to the city.

This mural is titled Welcome to Edmond, OK. It is on the west side of Broadway, north of the Festival Marketplace, a community gathering area where events and the Farmer's Market are held. The mural is about 8 ft by 30 ft, on the south wall of Trinity Mercantile. Each letter in Edmond is adorned with something that describes Edmond or the state of Oklahoma. Some of the illustrations include the mascots of all three Edmond high schools, an Oklahoma Centennial Clock, a Rt 66 symbol, a Santa Fe train car and a bison.
Brighr colors are used with wonderful descriptive brush strokes, making this a really eye-catching art piece for the many visitors that come to this intersection. This is one of the newest of over 230 outdoor pieces of art in Edmond.
