Samppalinnan mäellä on joskus sijainnut muinaislinna. Tästä ei ole jäljellä kuin kivia, joita on käytetty ravintolan kivijalkaan. An ancient castle was once located on the hill of Samppalinna. All that remains of this is the stones that have been used on the stone foundations of the nearby restaurant. The views from Samppalinna Park towards Turku Cathedral and the Aura River bank are great. There is a monument to G.A. Petrelius and its observation deck. You can also enjoy the view on the slightly sideways bench on the left.
The height of the spot is 39 meters. You will have to walk a couple of different stairways when coming from the direction of the Aura River. You can't get up by car.
