Det fredede vandtårn i Esbjerg ligger tæt på havnen og er et vartegn for byen. Det er bygget i 1896 ovenpå en bronzealderhøj. Tårnet er 33 m højt og kan indholde 130 m³ vand.
Vandtårnet er tegnet af arkitekt C.H. Clausen, og bygget i røde mursten med små tårne i de øverste hjørner. Inspiration til vandtårnets udseende stammer sandsynligvis fra Nassauer Haus i Nürnberg.




Detailed sign that tells the story of the protected water tower in Esbjerg.
The protected water tower in Esbjerg is near the harbor and is a landmark of the city. It was built in 1896 on top of a Bronze Age mound. The tower is 33 m tall and contains 130 m³ of water.
The water tower was designed by architect C.H. Clausen, and built in red brick with small towers in the upper corners. Inspiration for the appearance of the water tower probably comes from the Nassauer Haus in Nuremberg.
