The town of Lehigh was once a booming community back in the days of the coal mining operations before the 1920's. Over the years, with the mining ceased and farming struggling, and then the Great Depression, the town died. Today it is only home to a few farmers and residents who never left.

This is a conical tank constructed in 1955 and painted white. The name of the town is painted in black lettering. The tank stands on four iron legs and is about 75 ft. high. It is located about 200 yards est of Highway 75 on Division Street. A newer blue tank is located to the east of this tower, and it is possible the tower is no longer in use.
