EN: This monument stands at a junction of two rural paths in the forest west of Rünenberg.

It commemorates the troops stationed here during the Second World War (also some of their posts are still preserved distributed in the forest, but filled up with earth).

The soldiers belonged to the Schwere Motorkanonen-Abteilung 4 (batteries 107 + 108), which were equipped with the latest 10.5cm cannons of the Swiss Army at that time.

The monument consists of a concrete replica of a projectile, about four meters high, with the inscription: "Aktivdienst / Sch Mot Kan Bttr 107 + 108 / 1939-45".
