Oklahoma celebrated its 100th anniversary as a State in 2007. Lovely standing Centennial clocks were offered for sale in honor of Oklahoma's Centennial. Today, hundreds of them can be found in towns all over the state. Some clocks are two-faced and others have four faces.

In downtown Coalgate, in Nolan Watson Memorial Park, a small park between two buildings, this clock stands near the entrance on S. Main Street. On a metal pole painted green, the clock has two faces with Roman numerals. On the face of the clock are the words "Oklahoma Centennial / 1907 - 2007". Above the face on metal scroll work are the words "Inc. 1898 / COALGATE".
