A Thrift Store on Rt. 66 in Stroud is the location of this free food pantry. This is a great location for a food pantry, on the main street thru town, but off to the side of the business' entrance. It is a wooden cabinet with double doors, and four three-foot wide shelves. The glass doors show the Helping Hands logo, and a facebook logo. "Leave what you can, Take what you need" is in white letters on the right door.
At the time of our visit, the pantry was well stocked with a big variety of pantry items: several loaves of bread, buns and English Muffins, bags of beans, shelf-stable milk, corn flakes, Nilla Wafers, baby food, canned spinach, boxes of pasta, a couple cans of tuna, one can of potatoes, and several bags of fresh fruit.
