There is an urban legend that assures that every January 16 the ghost of a woman visits Sir John Moore's grave and leaves him a flower. This British general died as a result of the wounds that a bullet caused him during the battle of Elviña in 1809. The day was, precisely, January 16, and his body was deposited in the San Carlos Garden in A Coruña.

Who is this woman and why does she visit the general?
Lady Hester Stanhope was a fearless and ahead of her time, a "queen" who died as a hermit years after losing the man she loved in the battle of Elviña "
