The West Point Disciples of Christ congregation was formed in 1894, meeting in a sod building near this site. It wasn't until 1898, when the Charles Little family donated this land, that the church could be built.
The church was finished and the first services were held on July 3, 1899. It has been placed on the National Register of Historic Places (Waymark Code: WMBKH8), mainly because of it's architectural points. Also waymarked as This Old Church (Waymark Code: WM144CW.)
