This memorial was erected in the grounds of St. Mary's Church close to and visible from Town Street.

The memorial is in the form of a stone column on a three tier square base with a Christian Cross on the top.
The column has a sword engraved on it with the blade pointing downwards. Underneath the sword are the dates 1914 1918
The top tier of the column's base has the words TO OUR GLORIOUS DEAD.
There are a few names of the dead below this but have faded with time.
