A Lucky 7 of 10 different Waymarks, with a tally of 20, which can be found on Douglas Head and the Marine Drive.

At the turn of the 20th century when the Isle of Man was a very popular destination for large numbers of visitors from northern England, Douglas Head had many attractions, most of which have long since disappeared. Some of these attractions do remain however such as the Open Air Theatre and the Camera Obscura. Visit Link

In its heyday many shows took place at the theatre including minstrels and Pierrots. Visit Link

Many of the attractions closed in 1939 with the outbreak of hostilities and never reopened. Amongst the attractions which closed permanently was the electric tramway. Tourism never really picked up after the war and the theatre fell out of use.
