Originally opened in the 1960s as a 9-hole course, Crimson Creek is owned and operated by the City of El Reno since 1988. Re-designed in 1998 as an 18-hole course, it it one of only two courses in Oklahoma to be designed by P. B. Dye. The other is Oak Tree Golf & Country Club in Edmond.
Crimson Creek is located on the west side of El Reno, just 1 mile north of I-40 and adjacent to Lake El Reno. The course is 6,992 yards and par 72.
