Varden ved Knud Rasmussens Hus blev rejst i 1936 til minde om polarforskeren Knud Rasmussen. Den er bygget af sten indsamlet fra bopladser langs hele den grønlandske kyst. Den er meget høj, omkring 6-7 m. Der er flere inskriptioner på varden. En med teksten: "Danske og Grønlandske venner rejste denne i året 1936", og en anden "Polarforskeren Knud Rasmussens mindevarde".

Knud Rasmussen (1879-1933) var en grønlandsk/dansk polarforsker, der udforskede Grønland på adskillige ekspeditioner. Han byggede et hus ved Hundested, hvor han boede når han var i Danmark.



The cairn at Knud Rasmussen's House was erected in 1936 in memory of the polar researcher Knud Rasmussen. It is built of stone collected from settlements along the entire Greenlandic coast. It is very tall, about 6-7 m. There are several inscriptions on the cairn. One says: "Danish and Greenlandic friends raised this in the year 1936", and another "Polar explorer Knud Rasmussen's memorial cairn."

Knud Rasmussen (1879-1933) was a Greenlandic / Danish polar researcher who explored Greenland on several expeditions. He built a house at Hundested, where he lived when he was in Denmark.
