Incorporated on July 12, 1977 to fill the need for a local, affordable wet chemistry laboratory, Fairway quickly established a high standard of reliability and accuracy within the industry. Fairway Laboratories, Inc. has grown to meet the changing needs of its clients and the environmental landscape. Our current growth and focus revolves around the Marcellus Shale industry. In our early years the focus was servicing municipalities and clients who needed testing to satisfy regulatory requirements, such as discharge permits. Throughout the years, we have continued to maintain a strong base of diverse clients. Analytical capabilities expanded to serve changing client needs. We evolved from wet chemistry analysis by adding organics, inorganics, metals and certain gases over the years. All possible due to steady growth in clients, employees and instrumentation. The facility has expanded from the original 1,700-square-foot building on Fairway Dr. in Altoona, PA to a 5,000-square-foot facility constructed in 1999 on Ninth Avenue in Altoona. Currently, the Altoona location encompasses two laboratory buildings and one administration building."
