Après plusieurs mois de travaux et de rénovations majeures, l’ancien Club Chasse et Pêche devient le Studio-Théatre Paul Hébert.
Les travaux du nouveau Studio-Théâtre ont consisté en la construction d'une nouvelle salle de spectacle de 145 places, incluant une loge de 8 places.
Ce dernier a été rénové et converti pour accueillir une salle de répétition, une salle de diffusion, un atelier de costumes et de décors ainsi qu'un entrepôt.
Au Studio-Théâtre se produise principalement Les Cabotins et le Théâtre Les Bâtisseurs de Montagnes.
On y loue aussi des salles pour des conférences et autres activités professionnelles et artistiques.
Une salle de haut calibre mérite un nom émérite
Le comité du Studio-Théâtre, composé de la Ville de Thetford Mines, de la Troupe de théâtre Les Cabotins et du Théâtre les Bâtisseurs de montagnes, a annoncé le nouveau nom du Centre de diffusion de loisirs culturels de Thetford Mines : Studio-Théâtre Paul Hébert.
Rappelons que monsieur Hébert, originaire de Thetford Mines, est l'un des plus dignes représentants du théâtre québécois.
Sa carrière est ponctuée de nombreuses réussites et réalisations. Il a entre autres fondé, avec monsieur Albert Millaire, le premier théâtre d'été au Québec, soit le Chanteclerc à Sainte-Adèle-en-Haut.
La ministre de la Culture, des Communications et de la Condition féminine, madame Christine St-Pierre, lui a décerné la médaille de Grand Artisan de la Révolution tranquille pour sa contribution exceptionnelle à l'émancipation de la culture québécoise entre 1960 et 1970.
Lors de l’inauguration, M.Hébert s’est dit ravi d’être le «grand-père» d’un des plus beaux théâtres du Québec. Monsieur Hébert nous a légué cette phrase qui a grandi enportée pour nous. Elle sera le «leitmotiv» de notre Studio-Théâtre:
«On ne connaît pas l’avenir, mais on peut l’inventer.»

Dans un premier temps il est important de définir les associés du Studio-Théâtre Paul Hébert. Trois organismes composent Studio-Théâtre Paul Hébert inc. Soit : la Ville de Thetford Mines, La Troupe de Théâtre Les Cabotins inc. et le Théâtre les Bâtisseurs de montagnes inc.

After several months of work and major renovations, the former Hunting and Fishing Club becomes the Studio-Théatre Paul Hébert.
Work on the new Studio-Theater consisted of the construction of a new 145-seat performance hall, including an 8-seat box.
The latter has been renovated and converted to accommodate a rehearsal room, a screening room, a costume and set workshop as well as a warehouse.
The Studio-Théâtre mainly performs Les Cabotins and the Théâtre Les Bâtisseurs de Montagnes.
Rooms are also rented there for conferences and other professional and artistic activities.
A high-caliber venue deserves a distinguished name
The Studio-Théâtre committee, made up of the City of Thetford Mines, the Les Cabotins theater company and the Théâtre les Bâtisseurs de montagne, has announced the new name of the Thetford Mines cultural recreation center: Studio-Théâtre Paul Hébert.
Remember that Mr. Hébert, originally from Thetford Mines, is one of the most worthy representatives of Quebec theater.
His career is punctuated by many successes and achievements. Among other things, he founded, with Mr. Albert Millaire, the first summer theater in Quebec, the Chanteclerc in Sainte-Adèle-en-Haut.
The Minister of Culture, Communications and the Status of Women, Mrs. Christine St-Pierre, awarded her the Medal of Grand Craftsman of the Quiet Revolution for his exceptional contribution to the emancipation of Quebec culture between 1960 and 1970.
At the inauguration, Hébert said he was delighted to be the "grandfather" of one of Quebec's most beautiful theaters. Mr. Hébert bequeathed us this sentence which has grown in importance for us. It will be the “leitmotif” of our Studio-Theater:
"We don't know the future, but we can invent it."
