Long Description:

The City of Cranston, Rhode Island, has at least 15 outdoor basketball courts per the Parks and Recreation Department. Carberry Basketball Court is part of the Beachmont Fields recreation facility at the junction of Netherlands and Brady Avenues, a suburban residential area filled with single-family homes. It's also just two blocks east from the southeast corner of Roger Williams Park.

This two-basket short court lives between a baseball field and an off-leash dog run. The fenced site in the Edgewood neighborhood sports a royal blue surface, vermilion free throw lanes and center court circle, and standard white boundary lines. It's smooth and a little cracked with the paint showing signs of wear but still mostly opaque. Crystal clear backboards with white trim and shooter's squares (filled in with black) have orange hoops with nylon nets. They're set on round galvanized poles with silver coating. A pair of blue park benches with concrete legs live along the east edge in a sandy gravel strip. The play goes north-south. Indirect nighttime light comes from a street light shining on Brady Avenue.
