The Spire dates from the 14th century, and was rebuilt in 1812. It is made from granite rubble stone, with Swithland slate roof tiles. Built in two stages with short diagonal buttresses, the west window is 19th century stained glass. The tower has a north door, and north facing clock face. There are 3 2-light bell openings, gargoyles, battlements and a tall crocketted needle spire with two tiers of lucarnes.
