Built around 1890 as the Columbia Theatre and renamed the Capitol Theater in 1921. It was reopened in 1939 after being rebuilt in the art deco style. The theater closed in 1971 and was empty for almost 10 years before reopening in 1981 as the Capitol Arts Theater.
