Orlando Volunteer Fire Department - Firehouses on Waymarking.com

The Orlando F.D. is located on the east side of town on N. 5th Street (Highway 77). It is housed in a one-story metal building which has four overhead vehicle doors facing 5th Street, with two vehicle doors facing Cherokee Avenue to the north. This is a volunteer unit serving this town of 170 residents. Eighteen firefighters operate out of this station. The department also covers a large rural area. The fire departments from several small towns in this area often combine their efforts when fighting wildfires, which can be a real threat in the dry, windy weather of Oklahoma.

The fire department holds an annual Rib Dinner each March as a fundraiser. There is an outdoor warning siren on the south side of the building.
