"Slocum House - Built 1877. Built by Charles and Laura Slocum, this elegant home is a remaining vestige of Vancouver's early waterfront neighborhood. Laura was a renowned society hostess, and Charles operated supply stores throughout the Pacific Northwest. IN 1966, it was saved from demolition and relocated here, one block north of its original site."
