Vernettie Velma Cloyd is interred in Citizens Cemetery, on the south side of Clarendon. She passed away just a few days before her thirtieth birthday. Her Woodmen Circle grave marker is in the form of a vertical tree stump, on a base of two cut logs that are adorned with flowers and vines. Her grave marker is unusual in that her last name is set on the stump itself rather than just on the inscription shield, and the shield carries two separate inscriptions as well as her name and dates of birth and death.
