"In 2001 an orphaned bobcat kitten was brought to the Morgan Hill wildlife education and rehabilitation center. It was determined that her birthday and on or near 9/11, so the staff and volunteers named her Liberty in memory of the lives lost that dat. She was successfully released at 8 months of age. This bronze sculpture depicts her first leap to freedom before swimming across and pond a disappearing into the forest."
