Er is meer plasma nodig, om steeds meer patiënten een beter leven te kunnen geven. Plasma is een ontzettend krachtige stof, boordevol afweerstoffen en andere eiwitten die een belangrijke rol spelen bij de behandeling tegen meer van 100 verschillende ziekten. En iedereen heeft het in zich!

Daarom is Sanquin het eerste ‘plasma-only’-centrum van Nederland gestart: De Powerbank. De Powerbank is een uniek afnamecentrum waar alleen plasma wordt afgenomen. De Powerbank is een nieuwe bloedbank waar Sanquin onderzoekt of het mogelijk is om plasma efficiënter af te nemen en om de ervaring voor de donor nog prettiger te maken.

Als Powerbank-donor kun je daardoor een andere beleving krijgen dan een plasmadonor bij een andere bloedbank. De Powerbank is gelegen in het drukbezochte winkelcentrum Nova in Utrecht Kanaleneiland met ruime gratis parkeergelegenheid en vlakbij businesspark Papendorp. Zo maken we het voor donors zo makkelijk mogelijk om vaak te komen doneren.

That is why Sanquin has started the first 'plasma-only' center in the Netherlands: The Powerbank. The Powerbank is a unique collection center where only plasma is collected. The Power Bank is a new blood bank where Sanquin is investigating whether it is possible to collect plasma more efficiently and to make the experience even more pleasant for the donor.

As a power bank donor you can therefore get a different experience than a plasma donor at another blood bank. The Powerbank is located in the busy Nova shopping center in Utrecht Kanaleneiland with ample free parking and close to the Papendorp business park. In this way we make it as easy as possible for donors to donate often.
