English: Min Amanda Var Fra Kerteminde is an old revue song written by lyricist Axel Schwanenflügel in the late 1800s. Naturally, the fishing girl Amanda has become iconic for the area's lively young girls and is associated with Lund-Jensen's sculpture erected in 1954.

The song has been re-recorded countless times. Among others by Baronets and soft voiced actor Buster Larsen.

The song was originally included in the winter revue Harper in the Air in 1893 at Nørrebro Theater in Copenhagen, and also reportedly a truthful tale. The song is about the young Sophie Krag, who traveled to Copenhagen, where she is engaged to the revue author Anton Melbye. But instead of marrying the revue author, she left him in favor of her childhood friend Vilhelm, who at this time was studying law at the University of Copenhagen. Axel Schwanenflügel, friend of Anton Melbye, writes the text in response to the episode.
