This former bank is now a museum in Old Town San Diego. It is a reconstruction of the one that originally sat here in 1851 before it was burned to the ground.

This is one of a few converted bank building in San Diego's Old Town. The plaque says,

"1851 Two-story, wood-frame hotel called the Colorado House built by Cave Couts.

1854 Couts leased property. San Diego Herald and various retail businesses leased space on second floor over next eighteen years.

1872 Destroyed by fire.

1993 Reconstructed by Wells Fargo & Company."
