In front of the entrance to Guthrie Fire Department Station 1 is a brick pillar and flagpole. Mounted on top of the pillar is a bronze plaque honoring members of the International Association of Fire Fighters who worked at the Murrah disaster in Oklahoma City on April 19, 1995.

The memorial reads:
