This monument is located off the northwest corner of the Davenport Fire Department on Broadway. There is a six foot high limestone pillar with an embedded granite plaque. Dr. Ulus Edgar Nickell (8/17/1866 - 3/309/1970) is laid to rest in nearby Davenport Cemetery.
The memorial was placed in 1953 and reads:
