The Fort Courage Trading Post is located 11 miles from the New Mexico state line. At one time it housed an octagonal pancake house, grocery, gift shop and trading post, as well as a gas station. The sign once said "Home of F Troop", which tied in with the 60's sitcom. Also on the site were motel units, trailer park and campground.
