The Southwest Regional / Hulen Library Demo garden is located on the southwest corner of the property. The garden was established in 1997 with a landscape design by North Central chapter member, Jim Leavy. In 2004, the Fort Worth Garden Club awarded it the "Fort Worth Beautiful Special Award". It is currently maintained by members of the North Central Chapter of the Native Plant Society of Texas for purposes of educating the public of native plants that can be used in the urban landscaping environment.
