Wind Dancer is a statue located on the campus of the University of Central Florida. The aluminum-sheet sculpture is a representation of the Pegasus, which is UCF's academic mascot.
The sculpture was purchased by UCF in 2007. The statue was created by UCF graduate Mindy Colton and funded by BHC alumnus Jeff Douglass.
The sculpture itself has come to be a mascot of sorts for the Burnett Honors College, which is located nearby.
In fall 2015, the statue was vandalized when an unknown man attempted to climb on top of it, damaging the mount and bending much of the mane. The statue was repaired by a team of engineering students and given a sturdier mount.
