The plaque says, "Golf fever brought the Anthony Arnett Family to Colorado. He brought the first good grazing cattle to the state and was a contributor of land for the CU campus. Benjamin F. Montgomery, rancher and miner, traded mining property for this queen Anne Revival House in 1896."
