According to the plaque in front of the church, it has been built at the beginning of 14th century. The parish website (Czech only) has other information: the original St. Mary church has been destroyed during Hussite wars and the works on the new building has started only in 1480s and finished in early 1500s.
During WW II, the church has been damaged by air raids. Since that, the church tower remains the most slanted tower north of Alps. It has been stabilized by repairs in 1950s, the last major reconstruction has ended in 1994.
