Ud mod gaden, mellem apotekets tidligere hestestald og selve apoteket, står der stadig en pæl af granit med en jernring, hvor hesten kan tøjres .
Apoteket i Rudkøbing er bygget i 1705 og fungerer stadig som apotek. Der har både været laboratorium og apotekerhave i forbindelse med apoteket.
