Het Doldersummerveld is een uitgestrekt vochtig heidereservaat ten noorden van Doldersum en maakt deel uit van het Nationaal Park Drents-Friese Wold. Het natte heide¬veld gaat aan de noordzijde over in een hobbelig, voormalig stuifzandgebied, waardoor er veel variatie is in bodemsamenstelling, waterhuishouding en hoogteligging. Dit blijkt ook uit de rijke afwisseling van flora en fauna.
In het gebied komen maar liefst 111 soorten broedvogels voor, waaronder 20 ernstig bedreigde soorten als Kwartel, Patrijs, Gele kwikstaart, Roodborsttapuit en Paapje. Ook kraanvogels worden hier steeds vaker waargenomen.
Het gebied is in eigendom van Het Drentse Landschap.

The Doldersummerveld is an extensive wet heather reserve north of Doldersum and is part of the Drents-Friese Wold National Park. On the north side, the wet heathland changes into a bumpy, formerly drifting sand area, so that there is a lot of variation in soil composition, water housing and elevation. This is also evident from the rich variety of flora and fauna. There are no fewer than 111 breeding bird species in the area, including 20 critically endangered species such as Quail, Gray Partridge, Yellow Wagtail, European Stonechat and Whinchat. Cranes are also increasingly observed here. The area is owned by Het Drentse Landschap.
