The La Quinta Museum and Historical Society is located in Old Town La Quinta. Their website mentions they have a Community Room with a large wall mural painted by local artist Andre Blanche. They also have an exhibit title 'Tattooed and Tenacious' which contain historical photos of inked women in California's history. They also have a gallery of local historical exhibits with photos and artifacts.

There's a historical marker on the museum building that mentions the museum and historical society took over ownership of the building in the 1970s.
