The Bailey Bridge, a prefabricated panel bridge, was used extensively by the Allies during WWII. These bridges could be assembled quickly so that troops and equipment could overcome geographical barriers. This example was assembled as part of a training mission by the 245th Engineer Company (C) of the 45th Infantry.
