Built in 1904, this library on Main Street in Niagara Falls was largely funded by a $50,000 grant. It replaced the original library from 1814 and was located in the center of the population at the time.
The building was designed by E.E. Joralemon, and features stained-glass skylights and once had a second level whose floor was made of glass blocks.
By 1950 the library had outgrown it's space and in the 1970s, a new library opened nearby. The building is now used for City Offices. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974.
