George P. Colby founded the Southern Cassadaga Spiritualist Camp Meeting Association and the Cassadaga Spiritualist Camp in 1875. He came from Pike, New York and was a trance medium who traveled throughout the country giving readings and seances. He was well known and was referred to as the “seer of spiritualism.”
