In 1897 members of the Grange Road Baptist church founded a mission hall in Corporation Road. This went on to become this church. Which officially opened in 1905. A lovely red brick building now in a bit of disrepair. It was decided in 2016 to re-join to pool resources to better serve their communities. However religious services and other activities are still held at this church.
The cornerstones of this building reads " This foundation stone was laid by the Rev J. Miller Hamilton A.T.S minister. On behalf of the Grange Road Baptist Church November 1 1904.
