DE: Im Rahmen der Aktion "Gebäude erzählen Geschichte" hat der Lions Club in Brühl in Zusammenarbeit mit der Stadt Brühl Anfang 2011 fast dreissig Tafeln mit Hintergrundinformationen zur Geschichte der Gebäude gestiftet. Diese graue Tafel mit weißer Schrift befindet sich am Eingang der ehemaligen Stellmacherei und dem heutigen Brühler Keramikmuseum in der Kempishofstraße 10 und trägt folgenden Text:
Ehemalige Stellmacherei
Nach dem Abzug der französischen Truppen und der Übernahme der Rheinlande durch Preussen (1815) diente das Brühler Schloss in den 1840er Jahren dem Preußischen König zeitweilig als Residenz. Für die Wartung und Reparatur der zahlreichen Kutschen der Hofgesellschaft wurde diese Stellmacherei errichtet. 1875 übernahm der Stellmachermeister Jean Paul Kaus die Werkstatt von seinem Vorgänger Drickes. Seit 1908 war sie im Besitz von Peter Kaiser. Dessen Mitarbeiter, Paul Rauscher, Obermeister der Stellmacher-Innung, führte die Stellmacherei noch bis 1949. In den Jahren 1999 - 2000 wurde das Gebäude in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Internationalen Bund (IB) sorgfältig saniert. Seitdem ist hier das Brühler Keramikmuseum untergebracht.

EN: As part of the "Buildings tell a story" campaign, the Lions Club in Brühl, in cooperation with the city of Brühl, donated almost thirty boards with background information on the history of the buildings in early 2011. This gray board with white letters is located at the entrance to the former wheelwright and todays Brühl Ceramic museum in the Kempishofstrasse 10 and bears the following text:
Former cartwright
After the French troops withdrew and Prussia took over the Rhineland (1815), the Brühler Schloss temporarily served as the Prussian king's residence in the 1840s. This wheelwright was built for the maintenance and repair of the numerous carriages of the court society. In 1875, master wheelwright Jean Paul Kaus took over the workshop from his predecessor Drickes. Since 1908 it was owned by Peter Kaiser. His employee, Paul Rauscher, head master of the wheelwright guild, ran the wheelwright shop until 1949. In the years 1999-2000 the building was carefully renovated in cooperation with the International Federation (IB). Since then, the Brühl Ceramics Museum has been housed here.
