Mrs. Shirley's Findagrave page indicates that she was born on January 10, 1883, and died on October 16, 1983. There is no obvious obituary to be found, and a peek at FamilySearch turns up little besides a Social Security number. Her husband, Thornton S. Shirley, was from a family who came to the area from Kentucky in the early 1850s, and relatives operated a fairly popular hardware store up in Anna.
