L’Arbre aux quarante écus, l’Abricotier d'argent, Ginkgo (Ginkgo biloba L., 1771) (yínxìng en chinois) est une espèce d'arbres et la seule représentante actuelle de la famille des Ginkgoaceae. C'est la seule espèce actuelle de la division des ginkgophyta. Elle est considérée comme une espèce panchronique. C'est la plus ancienne famille d'arbres connue, puisqu'elle serait apparue il y a plus de 270 millions d'années. Elle existait déjà une quarantaine de millions d'années avant l'apparition des dinosaures.

protégé depuis 1979 par la municipalité, et situé dans le parc de l'hôtel d'Effiat. On l’appelle l’arbre d’or de Montrichard. Cet arbre a reçu le label « Arbre Remarquable de France » en 2001.

The tree with forty crowns, the silver apricot tree, Ginkgo (Ginkgo biloba L., 1771) (yínxìng in Chinese) is a species of trees and the only current representative of the Ginkgoaceae family. It is the only current species in the ginkgophyta division. It is considered a panchronic species. It is the oldest known family of trees, having appeared more than 270 million years ago. It already existed forty million years before the appearance of the dinosaurs.
